Executive Coaching

Are You A Business Owner Or Executive Who’s Interested In Personal Growth?

Is an internal issue preventing you from achieving your business goals?

Are you overwhelmed by all the pressures and responsibilities of being a leader?

Do you want to learn real-life tools for boosting your confidence and increasing your self-awareness?

Maybe you’ve hit a crossroads in your professional life and your company feels stuck.

Perhaps you’re in perpetual crisis with your team or you and your business partners can’t see eye to eye. In the midst of your stress, you might find yourself overmanaging people and going to great lengths to keep your business afloat. You may struggle to achieve a healthy work-life balance and have little room for self-care in your life.

Although many of these issues may be work-related on the outside, you’re probably not looking for just a business consultant. Deep down, what you really want is someone who can help you sort through your own internal world so that you can get unstuck.

You May Not Feel Comfortable Sharing Your Struggles With Coworkers And Other Executives

You’re probably used to being in a leadership role—people see you as steady, driven, and high-achieving. It may feel awkward showing vulnerability and admitting you don’t have it all together. This could lead to feelings of shame and guilt. You might feel weak or defective and worry that you’re just not strong enough to deal with your challenges on your own.

Additionally, it may not feel safe or appropriate to voice your frustrations and insecurities with coworkers. As a result, perhaps you feel like you have nowhere to turn for guidance and support.

If this is how you feel, I encourage you to connect with me. As an executive coach with over a decade of experience working with business owners, I believe I can help you increase your self-compassion, find freedom from unhealthy patterns, and achieve more authentic connections with others. These shifts can lead to a greater sense of peace and wiser all-around decision-making, both in your personal and professional life.

Every Executive And Business Owner Faces Interpersonal And Strategic Challenges

There’s a reason that the saying “Heavy is the head that wears the crown” is still so widely used. Being a leader is not easy. Executives, CEOs, and managers all face strategic and financial difficulties. On top of that, they are expected to have it all together and be strong in the face of adversity.

For many leaders in the business world, it’s hard to find somewhere safe to process the complex feelings that come with their role. Backing this up, a recent Harvard Business Review study found that roughly half of business leaders surveyed admitted to feeling lonely about the problems they faced. 61 percent of this group said that these feelings of loneliness impacted their ability to perform at a high level.* This is why it’s so important for leaders to have someone they can talk to and lean on for support during difficult times.

Even In The Business World, Sometimes Change Has To Come From Within

Within the world of business, many problems can be overcome through brute effort and pure ingenuity. I’ve seen so many of my clients thrive because they are exceptionally bright, hardworking, and creative. Nonetheless, they usually come to me once they’ve reached a point where simply working harder—or smarter—doesn’t cut it anymore. They arrive at a crossroads where they realize that something has to change within them.

In executive coaching, that’s what they have a chance to achieve. I specialize in helping high-achieving business leaders develop new tools for self-compassion and understanding.

Coaching Can Help Executives Like You Transform The Way You Show Up In Your Business And Your Life

It is extremely rare to find a coach with deep business experience as well as significant training in therapeutic approaches, but I have both. I earned an MBA from MIT Sloan and spent 15 years as a banker and investor on Wall Street before becoming an advisor and coach. As a result, I bring a unique mix of skills and specialties into my work. I am able to address complex business situations in addition to providing skills for emotional relief and personal transformation.

The main approach that informs my coaching practice is called Internal Family Systems (IFS). The goal of IFS is to help you transform your relationship with yourself, thereby transforming the way you show up in your business and in your life. Specifically, IFS allows you to understand the different parts of yourself that are fueling your decision-making, helping you increase your self-awareness and live more reflectively and intentionally.

In addition to IFS, I draw heavily from Non-violent Communication, which can help you identify and advocate for your needs, and Relational Life Therapy, which is all about taking responsibility for your impact in relationships. I always tailor my approach to the needs of each client, since everyone comes to coaching with different goals.

What To Expect In Executive Coaching Sessions

Most sessions begin by talking about a specific problem and looking at the different feelings that it brings up. Together, we will explore those feelings and try to understand what parts of you are driving them. This can help you become more aware of the deeper motivations that control your behavior and decision-making. You can uncover the emotional wounds that you’re still carrying to this day and understand how old challenges and traumas resurface in your life.

For example, maybe a previous business venture didn’t work. As a result, part of you may feel like you’re not good enough or worry that things are always on the verge of falling apart. Or perhaps you invested heavily in a promising employee who left unexpectedly, and now you’re afraid that all high-achieving performers will leave you behind. Executive coaching can help you make peace with these fears and reduce their control over your life. This way, you can go through life without getting so triggered by your wounded parts or trapped in repeating disappointing patterns.

Between my background as an IFS specialist and my experience in the world of business and leadership, I’m confident that my approach to executive coaching can empower you to take life by the reins, becoming more confident in who you are and more joyful as a leader.

You May Have Some Questions About Executive Coaching…

  • Knowing your limitations is actually a sign of good leadership. In fact, businesses are often very limited when leaders think they need to do everything. Unfortunately, seeking help usually isn’t seen as a natural course of action in the business world. Things tend to be very solution-oriented and many people are told to simply “work harder” when problems arise. Sometimes, however, problems need to be assessed on a deeper level to be managed effectively—that’s what coaching is for.

  • While there are no guarantees in life, I have been able to help many, many leaders and executives through my coaching program. I have experience with private equity and board-level governance and I’ve acted as a supporter and listener to lots of executive management teams throughout my life. All of this experience informs the work I do in coaching. As long as you’re committed to overcoming the internal issues that are holding you back, I believe that you can find joy and fulfillment in your life and career.

  • Generally speaking, we’ll have weekly or biweekly sessions over a span of three-to-six months. In the interim, we can exchange texts and emails so that you can receive support in your day-to-day life. That said, coaching is always adjustable from client to client. Together, we’ll come up with a plan that aligns with your needs, goals, and schedule.

Sometimes, Even The Most Effective Leaders Need A Helping Hand

In my time in the business world, I’ve seen so many leaders become more effective by letting themselves be vulnerable and leaning on others for support. If you’re a leader who wants to experience the same growth, I encourage you to pursue executive coaching with me. To get started, you can use the scheduling form or call 952-913-5174
